“I would like to be known as a person who is concerned about freedom and equality and justice and prosperity for all people.” ― Rosa Parks said on her 77th birthday

Freeing ourselves from family conditioning passed down the generations is probably the hardest thing to do because there are so many emotions involved and perceptions of what love is. There is also a deep sense of duty and loyalty. It takes great self-awareness.

My own experiences speaking up for myself have resulted in some form of punishment. And, it is this toxic behaviour that is also prevalent in society.

However, being able to see the generational trauma responses and going through the energetic healing process to transmute it, gives us a stronger foundation for new challenges that will present themselves on the path of ascension and self-mastery.

As I continued to explore modern slavery, I took some time to review the Modern Slavery Act; an Act to make provision about slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour and about human trafficking, including provision for the protection of victims. Businesses over a certain turnover must prepare a slavery and human trafficking statement for each financial year, yet my first question was, who is checking?

When asked, “why do you think modern slavery exists in our society”, a representative from a Not-for-Profit Organisation specialising in responsible recruitment, stated during an interview back in 2017,

“There are always people out there that think about what’s best for them and the opportunities that are out there, and still modern slavery and forced labour to some extent and, in some countries, is a low risk, high profit crime. Whereas when you think about other sorts of criminality; such as, drug trafficking, that is a commodity that can be used once and money and profit made once; whereas with people, as awful as it is, exploiters will use them again and again and again and make more and more money out of them.

However, there is no enforcement and so it is in that sense a ‘light law’, which was apparently intended by UK Government who put it in place to:

  1. encourage businesses to put it on their agenda, and
  2. to create a “race to the top”, recognising that some businesses may already have this on their agenda, whilst others would not

So, rather than just giving out fines and looking at bad practice they wanted businesses to take the opportunity to look into this and change their behaviour.”

Yet, as I pondered this I realised that the only reality we’re actually offered is to slave away in the working world. We live in a business-consumer reality. Practically every advert is about how to make money and how to spend or invest money.

Have you noticed this too?

Is it any wonder that this constant pursuit for survival is easily corruptible?

We are taught that ‘this is all there is’ – get educated, get a job, perhaps marry, have children, buy a nice house, invest in the stock market; by which point you may or may not still have your health, and then you die.

This world of busyness keeps you distracted from your creatorship. You’re simply going through the motions, remaining at the same level of consciousness. Essentially, the majority of us are volunteers, because we’ve never stopped to consider an alternative reality.

Is this really all there is? Have you ever questioned this reality?

When was the last time you got lost in your imagination and joyfully played out your childhood dreams?

We believe in kindness to others, we do our best to take care of our health, we spend time in meditation, mindfulness, breath-work, spiritual growth and personal development, yet how can we achieve this desired reality if we’re living in a constant stress response? With all the distractions, there is barely a moment to follow our true calling, our highest path.

I remember when working in broadcast television. I was told that “it would be in your best interests to secure a favourable reference” to encourage me to take a role that suited them, despite having just made me redundant. Needless to say, I took my redundancy and left.

Sadly, it seems that most people have a price. They sell out to a false sense of security either by an offer of power, control and status, or a monetary payout, or both!

It’s not so easy to choose to follow your heart. That feels risky. Pride and reason make it seem impossible or pointless.

Yet, each time I’ve followed my heart, new opportunities and possibilities have presented themselves. I hold a New Earth dream, one where we flourish, where we live in a state of well-being, joy, beauty and abundance.

What if we made it our business to find out what we’re really capable of? To uncover the unique gifts that only we can offer the world. To know who we are beneath the conditioning, and to experience the abundant life our soul came here to live.

I love to hear from you – What does your heart dream of? How can I support you to live that?

With a passionate heart,

Victoria
