The first time I received a court summons, fear gripped me. Having grown up in a household dominated by narcissistic dynamics, I was conditioned to conform, to give in, and to suppress my inner truth to maintain the status quo. Anxiety often shadowed me, leaving me feeling out of control in situations that challenged my sense of safety. The thought of facing an authority figure in court triggered every part of me that felt powerless.

Initially, I decided not to go. After all, I believed in human rights and, as leaders have often said, “We do not negotiate with terrorisers.” But here I was, being terrorised by the local authority, caught in a web of intimidation. However, shortly before the hearing, a friend suggested I attend, reminding me that my presence, legislative knowledge and wisdom could help others. So, reluctantly, I went.

Arriving at the magistrates’ court, I felt a rush of adrenaline. Anxiety pulsed through me, but so did something new – a flicker of strength. As I stepped inside, I used my alchemy tools to centre myself, calmly asked questions and refused to be blindly led into the courtroom.

The court manager turned to the council worker, “what do we do?” she asked. “I don’t know” he replied, “this has never happened before.”

Recognising that the council worker was visibly flustered, I took my opportunity to leave. It was a pivotal moment, a turning point where I began to reclaim my power. As I walked out of the courthouse, my heart pounded with adrenaline and liberation. Outside, I quickly shared my experiences with others waiting in line, hoping to spark their courage too.

Not long after, a bailiff came knocking. His arrival reignited old patterns of fear, but this time, I recognised him for what he was – another agent of the matrix reality. I didn’t open the door. Instead, I called out from the upstairs window, “Can I help you?” With a fierce demeanour he threatened to seize my goods, suggesting we could resolve everything if I let him in. My heart pounding and my voice nervously quivering, I challenged him from the upstairs window. He eventually left, and I never saw him again – nor did I pay him a penny.

These experiences taught me that the dynamics I faced growing up had prepared me for this: for standing up, for questioning, for refusing to bow to fear. I was no longer a victim of external forces. I was stepping into mastery, peeling back the layers of conditioning that had held me in anxiety and compliance.
